Interrogating Political Rhetoric
My major project for the MA Graphic Design course at LCC is a graphic design investigation that explores and exposes the emotionally charged language used by American presidents to sell and justify war. Through analyzing the State of the Union addresses given by presidents at the beginning of each year, the project reveals how the over usage of the word "freedom" has been used to shape and manipulate public opinion to support costly military ventures abroad, many of which have had dire consequences.
